The Peace Movement in Scotland

Banners from the Scottish Peace Movement will be at the Glasgow Women’s Library on 18th June 12-3pm. We invite people to come along to see the banners, learn more about the peace movement in Scotland and share thoughts, stories and experiences.

Speakers include Rose Gentle, campaigner against the Iraq War and co-founder of Military Families Against the War and Dr Paul Griffin, University of Glasgow, who will speak about Helen Crawfurd, secretary of the 1916-1918 Women's Peace Crusade. The Govan Allsorts Choir will also perform a selection of Peace Movement Songs.

This is a free event with a buffet lunch provided. For more information visit The Glasgow Women's Library
